Practice makes perfect…Join us online on Tuesday evenings 7-8:30 pm

Defensive skills need to be developed and practiced. This 9 week course focuses on reinforcing and developing the defensive skills that were introduced in the Defense in the 21st Century class. Each week we will examine a defensive strategy the we will bid, play and defend an average of 6-8 hands. While the primarily focus is on defensive tactics and skills bidding and declarer strategies will also be discussed. No partner necessary to register.

Defense topic: Defensive signals: Attitude, count, suit preference

Week 6:

Defense topic: Defensive cooperation to take your tricks

Week 7:

Defense topic: Making it difficult for declarer to take tricks incl. hold up, attaching entries

Week 8:

Defense topic: Defender’s PLAN

Week 9:

Defense topic: Tying it all together

Technical Requirements:
Internet capable device (computer or tablet recommended) and zoom.
All classes will be hosted on zoom and use the bridge playing program Shark Bridge. Participants do not need to purchase Shark Bridge it is used for free through the facilitator’s account.
