Introduction (Beginning) Bridge Course In-Person Class Dates: Friday mornings Dates: October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14, 21, 28 Time: 10 am – 12 pm

 Fee: $109/person Pay-as-you-go: $20/person/class Want a review, you can select specific dates based on the topic. Description: Bridge is a wonderful hobby played by people all over the world. Begin your Bridge journey with this introductory 9 week course. Learn and play bridge online! Keep your mind active, meet new people, learn to play bridge! This course is designed for players who have never played bridge before. Join us for a friendly, welcoming and interactive introduction to bridge. Bridge is a wonderful hobby that allows you to enjoy playing with a limited amount of knowledge and provides players with a life-long opportunity for developing and playing. Each session includes topic based instruction and then playing bridge focusing on the topic of the day. No prior bridge knowledge required. This class uses the Bidding in the 21st Century student workbook. Participants are not required to purchase it but we do highly recommend it. Topics*: Class 1: Basic Introduction: Trick taking & play Class 2: Basic Introduction: Opening the auction Class 3: Responses to 1NT opening bids Class 4: Responses to opening bid of one in a suit Class 5: Rebids by opener Class 6: Rebids by responder Class 7: Overcalls & advances Class 8: Takeout doubles & advances Class 9: Introduction to Stayman convention *If you want to attend a particular date, please contact Game Friendzy to confirm that the week’s topic hasn’t been changed. Technical Requirements:

Internet capable device (computer or tablet recommended) and zoom.

All classes will be hosted on zoom and use the bridge playing program Shark Bridge. Participants do not need to purchase Shark Bridge; it is used for free through the facilitator’s account.
